Gallery: BCU Night

The Black Christian Union hosted its annual night of cultural celebration titled “Sounds of My Culture” on Saturday, Feb. 2 in the Iles P.E. Center. The doors opened around 8:15 and students and employees and community members spilled into the open area to the sounds of a live jazz band and the smells of cultural food.
Attendees could sample cuisine from various regions such as the United States, which featured soul food, the Caribbean and Africa.
After the initial festivities, the show began around 8:40 on the main stage. Jedlee Germeil major played the lead role in the play which took his character through a dream world featuring a multitude of music from black culture over the years.
