Eliana Morales is a senior mass communication writing and editing major. She is excited to continue her work at the Accent this year. Her favorite part of working at the Accent is copy editing articles and getting to work alongside such a great team. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading and playing piano.

In “Caught at the Crossroads of Culture and Identity,” Eliana Morales reflects on the challenges of growing up between cultures—feeling both connected and distant from her heritage. Through self-acceptance, she discovers that identity isn’t about choosing one culture but embracing all parts of herself.
